Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti said during his report that the hard lockdowns during the first few months of the health crisis affected the number of the agency’s active members, which dropped from more than 14 million in 2019 to only 12.77 million last year.

This number has recovered this year, with the Fund’s active members increasing to 13.22 million as of August 2021. This means people continue to trust Pag-IBIG with their savings.

Housing loan releases for January to August this year also went up to P58.52 billion, the highest released for such a period. Of the figure, P14 plus billion or around 25 percent are for socialized housing.
